Accountability
Corrections and Living Stories
A published article is a maintained record, not a frozen artifact. Material changes are researched, verified, versioned, and disclosed.
How updates work
- A monitoring job detects a potentially material development.
- Research and verification establish the new factual record.
- The article returns through fact and risk checks.
- The publisher creates a new article version and updates the live page.
- Steeple verifies the resulting public URL and structured data.
What the version record preserves
Each record includes the prior state, new state, change summary, reason, supporting sources, responsible desk, and timestamp. A material correction receives a visible note. Known false information is not left in place merely because it was previously published.
